Our Aputure Light Storm LS C300D is outfitted with Xlites softboxes to generate a unique, natural-looking light that typical square or rectangular softboxes can’t match. Octa softboxes are perfect for portraiture and fashion photography because of their unique qualities. The natural, circular catch light in the subjects’ eyes is created by the octa’s rounded form. Octa softboxes do not have a long straight edge like standard square or rectangular softboxes. This results in a wrapping effect, which opens up shadows and creates a natural, progressive transition from highlight to shadow. Octa softboxes are commonly employed as a primary light or a soft fill light, both indoors and outdoors.

Xlites Shallow Series Softboxes come shaped as an Octa 105cm diameter and is attached to our C300D lights. Designed with a recessed front edge so the included grid can be easily fitted in order to meet the specific needs of all types of photographers.

For uniform, edge-to-edge light throughout the softbox, a stippled silver lining is used.
Outer diffuser is coated for added durability and to prevent magenta colour shift.
Diffuser on the inside for a more even and softer look
